Application Procedure

To apply for admission, applicants have to complete the application form in the brochure or download it from our website and return it with all required application materials by April 30, 2005 to the office of the following address:

The deposit of Euro 300,-- has to be included in the application material or transferred to the bank account of the Sommerhochschule until April 30, 2005.

After April 30, 2005 the students who are accepted to the International Summer Program will be informed by the office of the Sommerhochschule.

Upon notification of their acceptance, students are required to pay the balance of Euro 2.200,-- to the bank account of the Sommerhochschule.

After the office of the Sommerhochschule received the total program fee the applicant will receive an official invitation letter to the International Summer Program 2005 (which might be needed for visa applications).

Application Requirements

Please read this instructions carefully before completing your application material.
Applications for admission to our program are reviewed throughout the year. You are strongly recommended to apply as early as possible.
Applications must reach the office of the Sommerhochschule by April 30, 2005.

Applicants have to submit the following documents:

1. Application form: Applicants have to complete the Application Form at the end of this brochure.
2. Transcript of Grades: The application has to include an official, certified transcript from the university the applicant is currently attending. If possible the information should contain records showing courses, grades and level of degree. Applicants who already finished their studies should submit a copy of the diploma of their degree. All transcripts and diplomas should be translated into English or German where applicable and include an explanation of the grading system used.
3. Letters ofrecommendation: Applicants are required to submit two letters of recommendation (academic or professional).
4. Official proof of proficiency level in English: Applicants whose native language is not English have to submit proof that their English knowledge is proficiency level. This can be a TOEFL Test Score Report, an IELTS Test Report, a Diploma of a Cambridge Exam or a Diploma of any other official institution stating the English level.
5. Statement of Purpose: Applicants have to submit a written statement of motivation (maximum length one page).
6. Two passport-size photos: taken in the last year.
7. Deposit: A deposit of Euro 300,-- in form of a certified check, money order or bank draft has to be submitted with the application. The deposit will be deducted from the program fee for those who are accepted into the program, and refunded to those who are not accepted. The deposit will not be refunded to those who withdraw their application.

All documents have to be submitted in English or German or accompanied with a certified translation into English or German. Please note that applications will not be reviewed until all required material have been received. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
