Today the Faculty consists of six teaching departments: Mercantile Law; Jurisprudence; Criminal and Procedural Law; Indigenous Law; Constitutional and Public International Law; and Private Law. At present, the teaching staff numbers more than 100, with approximately 8 400 students registered in 1999 for a law degree, making it the largest faculty of law in Southern Africa, and in Africa. The Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria was established in 1974, and welcomed its first students in the fall of 1975. In the past quarter-century, the law school has established a significant and unique place in legal education in Canada. - The Faculty of law of University of Warsaw

At present the Faculty of Law is one of the largest and most important ones at Vilnius University. It includes 7 chairs, namely: the Penal Law, Civil Law and Civil Proceedings, Labor Law, Criminal Law and Criminal Trial, International and European Union Law, Theory and History of State and Law. At the Faculty 134 members of pedagogic and scientific staff are engaged, including 5 professors and 27 associated professors, 4 habilitated doctors and 33 doctors of sciences.
