Ann Althouse is the Robert W. & Irma M. Arthur-Bascom Professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and became a member of the New York Bar in 1981. Before joining the faculty of the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1984, she clerked for the Honorable Leonard B. Sand in the Southern District of New York and practiced law in the litigation department of Sullivan & Cromwell. Professor Althouse has a scholarly interest in constitutional law, federalism, and the jurisdiction of courts. She teaches Constitutional Law I, Federal Jurisdiction, Civil Procedure II, and Selected Problems in Constitutional Law: The Religion Clauses.
